Olen ollut mukana taiteilijayhdistys T.E.H.D.A.S. ry:n aktiivitoiminnassa vuodesta 2007 lähtien. T.E.H.D.A.S. (ry) on toiminut vuodesta 2002 lähtien kuva- ja esitystaiteen toimintaympäristöjen ja taiteilijoiden toimintaedellytysten kehittämiseen keskittyvänä yhdistyksenä sekä taiteilijaryhmänä. Yhdistys on perustettu Kankaanpäässä, mutta siirtynyt sittemmin Poriin, jossa toiminta on keskittynyt erityisesti Itä-Porissa sijaitsevalle Radioasemalle (vanhalle lyhytaaltoasemalle) ja sen ympäristöön rakentuneeseen Veistospuistoon. T.E.H.D.A.S. kollektiivin toiminnan keskiössä on ollut taiteilijaryhmänä toteutetut näyttelyt ja esitykset, sekä erilaiset tapahtumat ja interventiot julkiseen tilaan. Toimintakulttuuri on samaan aikaan sitoutuneen paikallista ja kansainsainvälistä.
I have been actively involved in the association work of T.E.H.D.A.S. ry since 2007. T.E.H.D.A.S. is a non-profit organisation and artist collective. Our aim is to create and produce art and performance events in Finland and internationally. Our mission is to support young artists who are interested to work in the field of community art and give chances to perform to the ones who are interested in performing arts. We connect artists from different fields: sculpture, performance art, painting, sound art, installation art and other.
Our ongoing project is to create framework for various exhibitions, symposiums, festivals, workshops, lectures and public actions in our region, in Finland and internationally. For many years we organized annual international performance festival (Perf) and on going performance club activities.
One of the biggest projects since 2011 has been the T.E.H.D.A.S. project space and sculpture park (Radioasema & Veistospuisto) in the east suburb of Pori. It is located at an old shortwave station and the wooded park surrounding it.
